I searched the forum before posting this and found discussions where it seemed like people were having the same problem as me.
But, after reading, mine seems different. Some characters may not display or print correctly. What seems to make my case different is that I plotted 8 PDFs that worked fine.
Solved by rkmcswain. Checking this option then allows the PDF to display without error. Sorry for failing to mention that.
All tested systems are C3D updated to version Nice find rkmcswain! Those files have a date of March 15, So, unless they were actually included in the Security update, then the Update 3 most likely did. Not that it matters since it appears I can just copy the good files to any other PC, but I suppose I could install the base C3D , then install the ACAD update, then the C3D updates, all one at a time, checking those files in between each update - to perhaps figure out how this happened.
We had the same sporadic issue over our 50 Civil 3D users. Copying the files across worked for some, we have two remaining where the issue remains. All our PC3 files are held centrally and are set to capture all the fonts within the drawing. All plotters, both locally and on the networked plotter location have capture fonts enabled. I don't know what else to try. Notice: updates available for Apache Log4j vulnerabilities. See the security advisory on the Autodesk Trust Center for more information.
